Missed Monday’s Wake County Board of Commissioners meeting? Here are the highlights:

The board approved a partnership with the Town of Zebulon to design a co-located Fire Department and EMS station on West Judd Street near Zebulon Town Hall. The new facility will help both the Zebulon Fire Department and Wake County EMS better serve Zebulon and the surrounding areas in eastern Wake County. Planning will kick off this summer, with construction starting in FY2024, the fiscal year that begins in July 2023. The board also voted to extend the partnership with GoWake Access and GoRaleigh, which work together provide transportation for seniors and disabled people across Wake County. Commissioners held the second of four public hearings on the proposed FY2023 budget that County Manager David Ellis presented on May 2.
