Early Voting Starts Tomorrow for Second Primary in Democratic Sheriff Contest, Runoff for Town of Cary Council

Fourteen days of Early Voting begin tomorrow, Thursday, July 7 for more than 625,000 registered voters in Wake County. They will help decide the Democratic Second Primary in the county sheriff race and a runoff for two Town of Cary council seats. Voters can also cast their ballots on Election Day, Tuesday, July 26.

“Many voters are already focused on the November election, but there are three contests from the May primary and Cary municipal that voters still need to determine,” said Gary Sims, director of the Wake County Board of Elections. “There are more than half a million people who are eligible to vote in these contests, but it’s critical that voters
check their sample ballot first. The best way to do that is go to ReadytoVote.com, enter your name and pull up your sample ballot.”
