Saturday is the last day for one-stop registration and voting
The Wake County Board of Elections is reminding residents that Early Voting for the General Election runs until 7:30 tonight and then all 15 sites re-open for just one more day of one-stop voting from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5.
As of Thursday night, nearly 180,000 voters had taken advantage of minimal to no wait times by casting their ballots during Early Voting. Go to WakeVotesEarly.com to find the location nearest to you and check wait times before you go. Again, Saturday is the last day for Wake County residents to be able to register to vote or adjust their voter information AND cast a ballot at the same time at any of the 15 locations in the county.
Election Day
Only already registered voters will have their last opportunity to cast a ballot in the November Election on Tuesday, Nov 8. Voters must vote in their designated Election Day precinct polling place. There are 208 different precincts in Wake County so voters should look up their polling place here.
Election Day polls open at 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday and everyone must be in line to vote by 7:30 p.m. We strongly encourage voters to review in advance which races, candidates and bond referendums might be on their ballot. There are 127 different ballot styles tailored to each precinct this November and ALL take up both sides of the 17-inch long ballots. Once Polls Close at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday
Unofficial election results will begin to post on the Wake County Board of Elections website after the polls close at 7:30 p.m. on Election Day. Early Voting results will be posted first. Absentee ballot results will be posted as soon as possible, followed by precinct results as they come in.
