JCPC Meetings
JCPC meetings are public meetings and anyone can attend as an observer. The JCPC meets the third Thursday of every other calendar month from 12:00pm – 2:00pm. Please contact the Wake County Manager’s Designee, Darryl Blevins, at: Dblevins@wake.gov to advise him of your plans to attend and to obtain the meeting location.
Program Instructions - Addressing and Funding
If a program wishes to address the JCPC, they should submit a request to the JCPC Coordinator to be placed on the monthly agenda. Presentations are typically reserved for making JCPC members aware of existing resources in the community that align with the priorities of the Council and that operate according to best practice strategies or curriculum. If a program wishes to seek JCPC funding, they may participate in the annual application process that begins in January each year. The JCPC does not entertain solicitations for funding outside of this process. JCPC is also not a place to solicit referrals.
David R. Carter, Department of Public Safety, Division of Juvenile Justice Consultant, is a resource for programs that have a plan to address priorities of the JCPC and are interested in applying for funding. For those interested in consultation, you should contact David at: david.r.carter@ncdps.gov well in advance of the due date for the funding proposals, typically occurring in March. Specifics regarding funding are published in the Request for Proposals each January.
