Wake County held the 2022 State of the County Address on Tuesday, Oct. 11. It was one of the first public events to take place in the newly renovated West Building of the N.C. Museum of Art in Raleigh.
The theme of the State of the County Address was “Painting a Picture of our Future.”
The speakers included:
- Sig Hutchinson, Chair of the Wake County Board of Commissioners;
- Catty Moore, Superintendent of the Wake County Public School System;
- Scott Ralls, President of Wake Technical Community College; and
- Adrienne Cole, President and CEO of the Raleigh Chamber.

Before the event started, guests watched young artists at work, painted a masterpiece in virtual reality, snapped images in our photo booth and wandered through the galleries to look at the People’s Collection.
